Oppo has officially launched its 2025 flagship, the Flagship X8 Ultra, which is a big improvement over last year's X7 Ultra. The company has focused on upgrading camera tech, performance, and design, all while slimming the profile to just 8.78mm, making it the thinnest flagship camera phone yet.

The Find X8 Ultra is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, paired with up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB UFS 4.1 storage, running on ColorOS 15 based on Android 15. The device maintains a magnificent 6.82-inch LTPO OLED panel with a refresh rate of 1-120 Hz and a resolution of 3,168 x 1,440 pixels. The smartphone is powered by a large 6,100mAh silicon carbon battery that supports both 100W wired and 50W wireless charging.
New cameras absolutely steal the show. Oppo has built the X8 Ultra with four 50MP sensors that range from ultra wide to telephoto. The main sensor remains the 1-inch Sony LYT900— still one of the largest in any smartphone. However, the dual periscope telephoto lenses have undergone significant modifications.
The 3x zoom camera now features a 1/1.56" LYT700 sensor and a brighter f/2.1 lens, while the 6x zoom uses a 1/1.95" LYT600 sensor with a wider f/3.1 aperture, improving low-light performance and detail. A dedicated True Chroma sensor manages color accuracy, combining with Hasselblad's tuning to improve skin tones and lighting. The ultra-wide camera, on the other hand, has a smaller sensor size that still offers a sharp 15mm f/2.0 view.

Design-wise, the phone is tougher with IP68 and IP69 ratings and adds new physical controls: a shortcut button and a quick camera button, enhancing usability.
The Find X8 Ultra will be available in Matte Black, Pure White, and Shell Pink. Pricing starts at $900 / £720 for the 12GB/256GB model, $970 / £780 for the 16GB/512GB model, and $1,110 / £895 for the top-tier 16GB/1TB option. Initially, it will be available only in China starting April 16.
