Instagram's Threads has introduced a new post-scheduling feature, a much-anticipated update now available to all users. After a successful trial last month, Instagram's Adam Mosseri announced the rollout on Thursday.

To schedule a post, users can create a thread, tap the three-dot menu in the top left corner, and select "Schedule". A post can be scheduled up to 75 days in advance, offering creators more freedom and better content planning. Once scheduled, posts can be viewed and edited or deleted from the drafts folder. However, replies to posts can't be scheduled.

Additionally, Threads is expanding its resharing capabilities with a new "markup" tool. This feature allows creators to annotate reshared posts with drawings, highlights, or arrows, creating artistic modification choices. The markup tool is currently available only in select countries, with plans for broad availability soon.

Threads is also modifying its approach to moderation and content. The platform will replace its current fact-checking system with Meta's Community Notes, which is based on user-generated content for posts. Additionally, political content will now be included in Threads recommendation algorithm, increasing the range of topics available on the platform.

These updates underline Threads commitment to evolving as a competitive social media platform. While the scheduling feature meets a key user demand, the markup tool is at a creative edge, catering to both content creators and casual users.

With these enhancements, Threads positions itself as an adaptable tool for diverse online engagement.
