Mina The Hollower Review Round-up

Among the top sites that gave Mina the Hollower perfect scores include IGN, RPG Site, and Screen Rant.

Over at IGN, Samuel Claiborn writes that Mina the Hollower is an indie that scratches the same itch as industry giants like Breath of the Wild or Elden Ring: "with an open world that’s crammed with mysteries worth finding and lively, clever combat I couldn’t get enough of. It’s a big game in a small package, and an absolute masterpiece of an adventure."

RPG Site's Junior Miyai states that Yacht Club Games' action-adventure was an enthralling experience: "The exploration is top-notch, the story is riveting, the art style is striking, and the myriad ways the developers pull tricks on you is both amusing and well thought-out. I can't recommend Mina the Hollower enough."

Screen Rant's Leo Faierman explains that Mina the Hollower is more than nostalgia-bait: "The player-first design ethos evident in Yacht Club Games' past successes. As much as I love the Blue Burrower, I'm truly grateful that the studio took the risk of this new character and setting and followed it through."

Not everyone was as positive as Giant Bomb's Mike Minotti, who questioned the game design choices that clash with his enjoyment of the game: "Despite the fun I often have with Mina, questionable design decisions like that keep me from falling in love with it the same way I did with Shovel Knight."
