  • Quick Answer: This article provides an update on Yacht Club Games' upcoming 3D title, revealing it is more than halfway done.

Players are loving Mina the Hollower. Topping the Nintendo eShop charts, a solid player base on Steam, and rave reviews across the board, it's looking like a great success for Yacht Club Games.

In an interview with none other than ourselves, which you can read in its entirety (or watch via YouTube if you prefer), Sean Velasco, founder of Yacht Club Games, gave us a hint at what the future of the company holds, and which we could potentially see sooner rather than later.

Late in 2024, the company revealed a 3D logo. Many fans correctly assumed this meant a potential 3D game was in the works, which would be correct. Velasco didn't share any specifics about what the game could be, but he did reveal a very interesting tidbit of information: "We have a 3D game that is more than halfway done. It's not quite ready to reveal, but it's going to be real cool."

There are some other projects on Yacht Club's pipeline, including Shovel Knight DX, an enhanced version of the now indie classic.

Whatever's next for Yacht Club, I can't wait to see what they're cooking. Will the 3D game be a Mario 64 take on Shovel Knight? Will it be more akin to Banjo? Personally, I'd love for a Yacht Club take on Jet Force Gemini, but I understand I might be in the minority.
