Zero Parades: For Dead Spies, ZA/UM's controversial next project following Disco Elysium and massive internal turmoil, is right around the corner, set to release this upcoming May 21 on PC via Steam.
As per, the Metacritic score has dropped, alongside reviews from critics that have dabbled in the world of Portofiro, including yours truly. As one of the biggest indies to come out this year, let's give you a quick review round-up of Zero Parades: For Dead Spies.
Zero Parades: For Dead Spies Review Round-up
ZA/UM's Zero Parades: For Dead Spies currently sits at an 84 on Metacritic, a fantastic score considering the baggage the game carried and what it would inevitably be compared to: Disco Elysium.

In my own review, which you can read on our big sister site, Gfinity, I gave the game a solid 8/10, calling it a game that stands on its own merit as a solid espionage RPG with a wonderful cast of characters and a location like Portofiro, which feels like a character of its own.
Over at Eurogamer, the game got a perfect score. The review, penned by Alexis Ong, calls the game an "exquisitely constructed take on consumerism, empire, nostalgia and beyond."
Other favorable scores also include DualShockers, who gave the game a 9/10. In his review, Christian Bognar states: "an exciting espionage thriller that succeeds far more than it stumbles. Its narrative is gripping, intelligent, and is packed with conspiracy, consistently pulling you deeper into its immersive world that is essentially an uncomfortable metaphor for modern society."
Not all are incredibly positive reviews, of course, with PC Gamer giving it a passing score of 66/100. In her review, Maddi Chilton calls it a "not very good spy game."
She added: "Despite a beautiful world and some clever mechanical flourishes, Zero Parades doesn't commit to its espionage concept enough to be convincing."
Zero Parades: For Dead Spies releases this upcoming May 21 on Steam. A console release is scheduled for a later date.
